Elite Fitness for Everybody

ARE YOU READY!

I hope you are. Sunday night I will begin posting the first of the WODs (Workout of the Day).

We will be doing a three day on/ one day off schedule. Each post I will explain the exercises and when possible provide visual aides, as well as variations and adaptations for home, park or gym. This first month the most important thing will be form and ramping up slowly to allow your bodies to adapt.

This blog is also a place where you can feel free to post your workout times, scores and progress in the comments of each days WOD. I highly recommend this as it will allow you to gauge your progress. Also, feel free to post questions to the comments. That way the answers will help everyone.

I am so excited to begin!

I have a question for everyone: Would you guys feel comfortable if I created a page where you could introduce yourselves? You would not have to put your real names, but just so we could see what your individual goals and fitness levels are. Please post your response to the comments.

  1. Hi!! I’m in!

So you know where I am starting from.

Couch potato for about 10 years and then a runner for about 1. By the end I was running 25 miles each week. That was 7 months ago and I have done squat (or even a squat) since then.

    Height: 5′7″
    Weight: 156
    Weight Goal: 138*

*as an extra bonus, it would be nice if my ass didn’t jiggle all the time!!!

  2. I’m willing to give it a try!

I am sooooo out of shape! I just had a baby 7 weeks ago, but because of SPD and other pregnancy complications, I didn’t work out my whole pregnancy and ended up gaining 56 pounds! I have 22 lbs left to lose before getting to my pre-preggo weight and ultimately would like to lose 10 more on top of that…so, 32 lbs all together. (I’d be really happy if my ass didn’t jiggle either, or my under arms, or my double chin, or…well, you get the idea.)

My only concern is that I am breastfeeding and have to be careful not to loose to quickly and mess up my supply or have so much lactic acid that he doesn’t want to nurse.

    Thanks for doing this!

  3. Well welcome! Don’t worry about losing weight too fast. I am a firm believer that 1-2 pounds a week is a safe, realistic goal. The other thing is that most women find that with CF, they lose inches initially, but not scale weight because the are putting on so much lean muscle. Diet is also a big part of the kind of results you will see.
